Emily Jasmine Ramonetti (b. 1999) is a composer, pianist, songwriter. She is currently studying Film Scoring with Berklee Online as part of the Film Scoring Master's Program. Emily Jasmine has been composing music since the age of nine and has studied composition with Dr. Frank Doyle, Dr. Evis Sammoutis, and Dr. Jorge Grossmann.
During freshman year of her undergraduate studies, Emily Jasmine received more commissions. In her first semester, she was commissioned to write a movie score for a student film by a fellow Ithaca College student. The film was titled ‘“Vivianne”. Emily Jasmine's score won an award for excellence in music at the Ithaca Student Film Festival. The next commission was from a student at Cornell University. It was a Korean musical titled “I Remember” for which she wrote three songs. The musical premiered in Korea in March 2018. In her spring semester of her freshman year, Emily Jasmine was commissioned to write two more movie scores for Ithaca College film students. The films were titled “For My Sister” and “Gal Pals”. In 2021, Emily Jasmine wrote the theme song for the ICTV show "A Piece of Art".
In addition to being a composer, Emily Jasmine is a pianist and violinist. She has been playing piano and violin since the ages of three and seven respectively. Emily Jasmine has studied piano performance extensively with Rosa Antonelli, Gena Raps, Vadim Serebryany, Frank Doyle, and Scott Ballin,
Currently, Emily Jasmine works as a music teacher at Munro Music in Northport, New York where she teaches piano, violin, voice, and theory/composition. In addition, she works as an accompanist in the Hauppauge School district for the high school and middle school choirs as well as accompanying students for solo performances with classical, jazz, and musical theater repertoire. She also keeps up with her piano studies by taking jazz piano lessons with Scott Ballin.
As well as being a composer, Emily Jasmine is also a songwriter and regularly writes tunes in various styles, including pop ballad, dance tune, and musical theater number. She takes influence from various traditions that she was exposed to growing up including western art music, jazz, folk music, and musical theater.
Outside of music, Emily Jasmine is a lover of travel, ballet, and tasty coffee.
